By now, Donald Trump has learned that Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance has his tax returns, the very tax returns Trump fought so hard to keep out of the hands of investigators, Congress and the public. The fact that a criminal prosecutor investigating potential fraud by Trump now has records that may incriminate Trump, has got to be a very scary development for a man who clung so desperately to the protection of the Presidency that he was willing to foment an insurrection in order to stay in power. Although Trump has typically escaped without consequences for all of his sins and transgressions his whole life, he must finally see the walls closing in on him and realize that the end is near. Here, he reflects on the life he’s lived, to the tune of My Way:
Lie Way
And now, the end is near
And so I face the final curtain
My followers, I’ll say it clear
I’ll state my case, of which I’m certain
I’ve lived a life that’s full of SHlT
I explored each and every crime way
And more, much more than this, I did it LYING
Impeachments, I’ve had a few
But those are things I hardly mention
I grifted when I had to
And remembered all, through my dementia
I planned each and every scam
Each careless tweet along the crime way
And more, much more than this, I did it LYING
Yes, there were times, I’m sure you knew
When I pissed off you, and you and you!
But through it all, I had no doubt
I ate it up and SHlT it out
I paid no price in my whole life, and kept on LYING
I’ve bitched and moaned and lied
I’ve had no loss, but an election stolen
And now with deep anxiety
I find it all so terrifying
To think I did all that
And I have to say, not in a shy way
Oh, no, it’s not my fault, I kept on LYING
For what is a man, what has he got?
If not a scam, then what’s the point?
To say the things he doesn’t mean
While using words that are obscene
The record shows
My record blows
And I was LYING
Yes, I was LYING
