The House Impeachment Managers brought in Lin-Manuel Miranda to hone their opening argument to make it compelling and attractive not only to the Senators on the jury, but also to a nationwide/worldwide TV/online audience:

Our case is based on Trump’s actions and exhortations

That are suspicious, seditious — and not at all judicious.

Trump unleashed a mob

To save his job

That he doesn’t even wanna do

He just wants to say he’s better than you!

Trump lost the election

Quicker than his erection

And he can’t stand the rejection

So he concocted a Big Lie

And said his Presidency didn’t die

That the vote was Stolen or Rigged

(Remember his LIES are BIG!)

Trump called Georgia’s Secretary of State

About the election to debate

He’s got an appetite he just can’t sate

For just enough votes to win the state

Pence was among Trump’s chief sycophants

But when he said he’ll do the right thing

Trump tells the crowd to string

Him up like a criminal

That’s not subtle or subliminal

Trump says that’s just a rumor

A little gallows humor

To keep the crowd loose

It’s only Fake Noose.

But Pence just dispensed with his

Objections and projections.

Trump’s co-conspirators are would-be orators

They’re a sorry lot whose minds are shot

Mo Brooks, he doesn’t like books.

In sedition he’s now dabbling,

But this Brooks has always been babbling

My Pillow Guy Mike Lindell,

Like Trump he loves to swindle

Don Junior thrown in for some humor

But he’s as funny as a tumor.

Rudy G spewed forth his bile

Delivered with his usual guile

In his ranting, raving style

Like the guy who made the crowds Sieg Heil.

Rioters carried the flag (like the GOP wears flag pins)

But they used the flagpoles as a weapons

They say it has appeal as long as you don’t kneel

They cried “Support the Blue”

But then attacked them too.

Now Republicans say forget their sedition

It’s time to let the nation heal.

Trump was defeated yet won’t concede

Even though he is conceited.

People call him Benedict Arnold

But he’s more like Been a Dick Donald.

Trump now tries to jive and juke

Careful — he’s a human nuke

Unstable, not a toy

But is he Fat Man or Little Boy?

Let’s face it, you can’t choose

Because he’s both and hates to lose.

He fomented an insurrection

And thought it would be a resurrection

Of his career as the Leader Dear.

Trump’s as evil as Iago

The only morals he’s got is Moral-Lago

He now says he was appalled

But witnesses say he was enthralled

At the violence he unleashed

On the Capitol, capisce?

Republicans don’t be like a battered spouse

Who’s been viciously attacked in their own house,

But for some reason don’t want their abuser to suffer

Against conviction don’t be Donald’s buffer.
