A Celebration of the Life of Donald J. Trump

Many people are saying it was terrible that President Trump skipped the funeral of former First Lady (and First Mother) Barbara Bush to go golfing.  But, as he promised, he did view it on TV, and it had a profound impact on him, as he explains below.

“I was so moved and so inspired by the funeral for Barbara Bush, which I watched on TV.  Many are saying we shouldn’t call it a funeral, but a ‘Celebration of Life.’  And you often hear people say ‘It’s a shame they couldn’t hear all those nice things everybody said about them while they were alive.’  And that got me thinking — I should have a Celebration of Life WHILE I’M STILL PRESIDENT.  It’ll be just like one of my Cabinet meetings, but with music and more people!

“People said it was a waste to give Ivanka’s wedding planner a job in the Administration, but they’ll be singing a different tune now – her experience in planning lavish events is REALLY going to pay off!!

“Speaking of tunes, I ought to pick out some songs to be played.  Maybe I can get the Mormon Tabernacle Choir again.  ‘How Great Thou Art’ would CERTAINLY be appropriate.  Maybe also ‘He Touched Me.’ And something like ‘Mine Eyes Have Seen the Glory’ and ‘He’s Got the Whole World in his Hands,’ too.

“We’ll probably have to have it at a basketball arena, or maybe a football stadium, because SO MANY people will want to be there.  We’ll have to block out A WHOLE DAY to accommodate the throngs of people, from ALL OVER THE WORLD, who will want to come and pay homage to me.”

“Cutting down the speaker list to a hundred or so will be a challenge, but we have to do it.  We can’t have this last over several days . . . or CAN we?
