Poor Powerful President

Many former Presidents have commented on the loneliness of the office.  Some have lamented the fact that they had a tough time finding anyone to stand up to them or tell them when they were going off the rails.  Donald Trump laments a different phenomenon; people no longer simply accept what he says.

“When I was a kid, I could spin any bullsh!t that came to mind to get out of trouble, and teachers would have to accept it because my parents had enough money to make my BS stick.

“When I ran The Trump Organization, everybody accepted what I said. It was always ‘What a great idea, Daddy!’ and ‘Such innovative thinking, sir, you’re a genius!’ regardless of whether I was coming up with business ideas or commenting on social or political issues.

“Even outside the company, when I was a real estate mogul on the go and spouted off to the media on current events and social and political trends, everybody said fine, whatever.  No one ever challenged me!

“Now that I’m the President, supposedly the most powerful man I the world, people are constantly questioning what I say & claiming it contradicts something I said a few weeks, months, or years ago.  FAKE NEWS!! How can it be that I’ve become more powerful than ever, but I can’t get people to accept everything I say anymore??  It just doesn’t seem fair! The only ones who haven’t changed are at Fox News.  They have always accepted me and echoed my views. I guess that’s why they’re called Fox & Friends. They’re the best friends I’ve got!”
