“Donnie, take this casserole I made to that nice Puerto Rican family down the street.”

“Why should I do that?”

“They’re a very nice family and they need our help.”

“Why can’t they cook for themselves?”

“Normally they can, but their house suffered terrible damage during the storm.  It wiped out their kitchen and knocked out their electricity.”

“But I’m practicing my golf swing. Can’t we just say we gave them something without actually doing it?”

“Come on Donnie, it’s the neighborly thing to do.”

“I might have to step in a puddle on my way there.  It’s surrounded by water now, you know!”

“Well, you’re a resourceful boy. I’m sure you’ll figure out how to get it done safely.”

“Awww, do I have to??!!”

Yes, Donnie, it’s important to help people when they need it.”

“Maybe you can make me do it, but you can’t make me like it!”
